The Passion Within Ourselves - JUST DO IT

The outpouring of support, encouragement, excitement and envy from friends and family, and even a few strangers, has been incredible.  I lost count of the number of people, who when hearing of my plans to join a sailing crew on a  circumnavigation voyage, remarked to the effect that I was one lucky lady and they could never be able to do such a thing.  Poppycock, luck has nothing to do with it.  I realize family responsibility and the financial obligations of everyday life are obstacles to an indulgence of this magnitude but I also believe each of us is responsible for our own destiny and the choices we make along the way .  


The comment, “I could never be able to do such as thing” is not giving yourself much credit.  Our days on this earth are numbered so choose to live them fully.  Embrace life, enjoy life and experience life.  Whatever your passion, be it travel, artistic expression, lifelong education, home renovation, growing your own food, fostering needy children or homeless animals, or anything else, JUST DO IT.  You will be glad you did.  Your endeavor might entail planning, compromise, and lots of hard work.  At the end of the day (or your life) when it is all said and done, there will be few doubts that the payoff of self satisfaction will be enormous.  JUST DO IT..  

For those of you who are living vicariously through me, I hope I will not disappoint and my personal journey will inspire you to start living the life you are meant to have and deserve.  JUST DO IT.
